
UNI Volleyball Camps Can I register on-line? Absolutely! Use the "Registration" link to the left of this page, or click on camp link. Each camp page will have a link to allow you to register on-line. Can I show-up the morning of camp and register at check-in? YES, but be sure to call the camp phone (319) 273-6480 to see if the camp still has space available. A Parent or Guardian must accompany you to on-site registration in order to sign the required "Release and Medical Information" form. Remember, you may not participate without this form being signed and dated!! Where do I check-in for Camp? Below is a list of check-in times and locations for each camp. ALL RESIDENT AND COMMUTER CAMPERS will check-in at the location listed below. Click on "Maps, Directions and Parking" link for additional check-in information.
Can I choose my roomate? Yes, but you will both need to check-in at the same time. Due to the dorm hall fire code, no more than two campers will be allowed per room. If more than two campers would like to room near each other, we recommend that all campers should check-in together. We will try and accommodate this request, but we cannot guarantee this, due to limited room availability. Do I need to sign the Release form? YES!! All campers must have their Parent or Guardian complete and sign the "Release and Medical Information" form before you are allowed to participate in camp - NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE!! Click on the link below to print a pdf of the Release form. The form is also located on the back of the camp brochure. If you have problems priting the form, please call (319) 273-6480 for a FAX or Email copy. All campers must also have medical insurance to participate! What do I need to bring to camp? Campers are encourage to bring the following items: ALL CAMPERS: Volleyball gear: athletic shoes, knee pads, spandex/shorts, socks and t-shirts. RESIDENTS: Swimsuit and towel Bathroom items, toileteries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.), and a towel. FAN and alarm clock (the dorm does not have A/C. The gym as A/C) Camp Store: The UNI Volleyball Camp store will be open throughout camp, including check-in and check-out. Campers are encouraged to bring extra spending money to purchase unique UNIVB gear, which includes t-shirts (long and short sleeve), sweats, shorts, spandex, and hoodies. The camp store will also carry knee-pads and volleyballs. Where is commuter drop-off and pick-up? ALL COMMUTER'S WILL CHECK-IN FOR CAMP AT THE LOCATION LISTED ABOVE FOR THEIR SPECIFIC CAMP! Following check-in, commuter drop-off and pick-up should be at the WRC before and after each session. Commuters should be dropped off 15 minutes prior to the start of each session. The main entrance to the WRC is located on the west side of the building (visit our maps link of the WRC). Where do I park? If you are driving yourself to camp (resident and commuter), you will need to purchase a parking pass for $1.25/day. Parking passes can be purchased at check-in. Parents who wish to observe the training session, should purchase a parking pass at check-in for $1.25/day, or use the metered parking stalls directly west of the WRC (2 hour limit). All parking passes must be hung from your rear view mirror! The UNIVB Camps are not responsible for any parking tickets received for expired meters, parking without a pass, or not displaying a purchased pass properly! Meals? Resident camper's meals are provided with their paid registration in UNI dining facilities. Commuter meals are NOT INCLUDED, and must be arranged by each camper. Commuters can bring a sack lunch, eat at our local fast food restaurants, or at the UNI Dining Center (meal prices are approximately $9.50 - cash only). Resident campers registration does not include extra snacks and/or pizza (delivery to dorms, only) following the evening session, so campers are encouraged to bring extra spending money. Are their chaperones in the dorms? Yes. UNI Camp Staff will be staying in the dorms providing supervision during overnight skill camps. Teams attending Team Camp are required to provide overnight adult supervision for each team attending camp! If you are unable to provide a chaperone, please contact our camp office (319) 273-6480 for special arrangements. Where is check-out on the last day of camp? RESIDENT CAMPERS must check-out of their dorm following the last session of camp (5:00 p.m.). All dorm rooms must be cleaned, and KEYS RETURNED TO UNI HOUSING before leaving UNI. Lost keys will result in a fee! COMMUTER CAMPERS are allowed to leave following the last session of camp. Most camps will finish in the WRC; please contact your daughter for the location of the final session. If I'm a parent can I attend a session? Absolutely! We encourage all parents to stop by camp and watch your daughter/son train during camp. All final sessions of each camp include competitive play.
